Hi Alison, quite a long journey à cross in one day, but not impossible. You can book one bus ticket à Phnom Penh et le a second one à Siem Reap, with which you will arrive around 18:00 in the eve. De here you can take a taxi ($40) that will bring you in about 2.5h à Battambang. Alternatively, you can take a taxi à Sihanoukville Airport from Kampot ($40), take a flight à Siem Reap et le continue by one of the afternoon buses or taxi à Battambang.
