Rach Gia Ferry Port is the best port to choose when you want to reach Phu Quoc from the Mekong Delta or Ho Chi Minh.
Step 1: Rach Gia to Phu Quoc by Ferry
There are 2 companies operating daily ferry trips from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc. These are Superdong and Phu Quoc Express.
Both ferry companies offer a similar service for standard class. If you want more luxury, you can book the vip ticket with Phu Quoc Express for 540,000 VND (€19.90). Normal class tickets cost 324,000 VND (€11.90) with Superdong and 340,000 VND (€12.50) with Phu Quoc Express.
The ferry journey from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc takes about 2 hours 30 minutes.
Ferries depart from Rach Gia Ferry Port and dock at Phu Quoc’s Bai Vong Port.
A note on choosing your ferry seat: the standard eco seat is basic, but good enough for a 2.5-hour ferry ride. The VIP seat looks more like an airplane seat and even include a personal video screen, as well as headphones and food & drinks.

From Bai Vong Port, you can take a shuttle bus or a taxi to get to your hotel. Fares start from 60,000 VND (€2.20) and 230,000 VND (€8.50), respectively.
Travel time from Bai Vong Ferry Port to Long Beach is around 20 minutes. If you’re heading to Duong Dong town centre, that’s about 30 minutes.

When taking the ferry on the way back to the mainland at Rach Gia Ferry Port, you’ll only need to retrace your steps.
Step 1: Phu Quoc City Centre to Bai Vong Port by Shuttle Bus/Taxi
Whether you are coming from Long Beach or Duong Dong, you can take a shuttle bus or a taxi to Bai Vong Port. A bus ticket costs 60,000 VND (€2.20), while fares for a taxi ride start from 230,000 VND (€8.50).
