Apart from natural beauty, there is a colourful history in Quy Nhon. You will find here the biggest and most well-preserved remnants of the indigenous Champa Kingdom, which ruled Quy Nhon and the surrounding region in the 11th century.
4 ways to get from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon
There are 4 ways to travel the distance of 210 kilometers (130 miles) from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon by bus (3 hours to 5 hours 35 minutes), Shared minivan (4 hours), private Transport (3 hours to 4 hours 15 minutes) and train (4 hours 15 minutes to 6 hours 5 minutes). The journey duration ranges between 3 hours to 6 hours 5 minutes and the quickest way is by bus. The lowest priced tickets start from 187,000 VND (€6.90) for the train.Where to stay in Quy Nhon?

Nha Trang to Quy Nhon by Train
Travelling by train from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon is the more convenient and affordable option for this route.
Do note that trains can only take you up to Dieu Tri Railway Station, which is still 10 km away from Quy Nhon city centre.
Step 1: Nha Trang to Dieu Tri by Train
Five trains operate daily from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon via Dieu Tri. Travel time is around 3h 46m - 5h 33m.
Ticket prices start from 167,000 VND (€6.10) when you get a soft seat. If you’re taking one of the early morning trains, you can also get a more expensive sleeper berth so you can catch up on some sleep during the journey.
Trains depart from Nha Trang Railway Station, which you can find some 2 km west of the main beach.
You are to get off at Dieu Tri Train Station, located 10 km northwest of Quy Nhon centre. We’ll describe in the next step how to get from this station to Qiu Nhon.
You can buy your tickets at the train station or you can pre-book them online via Baolau.
Step 2: Dieu Tri Railway Station to Quy Nhon by Bus/Taxi
From Dieu Tri Railway Station, you can take a bus or a taxi to Quy Nhon.
The bus is the cheaper option at only around 20,000 VND (€0.70). Take the local bus T22, which will bring you up to the CoopMart in the centre of Quy Nhon. Travel time is about 30 minutes.
If you want to be brought straight to your hotel, you can also take a taxi for around 200,000 VND (€7.40).
Nha Trang to Quy Nhon by Bus
An Phu Travel, Sapa Discovery Travel, Techbus VN JSC, Ha Linh, Duc Duong Bus, Luxury Van Limousine, Thanh Thuy, Quang Hanh, Thuan Tam and Tan Kim Chi each operate one daily bus trip from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon.
Ticket prices start from €9.40 and travel time takes 3 hours to 5 hours 35 minutes.
It’s worth noting that the bus stations in both Nha Trang and Quy Nhon are located a bit outside of the city centre, 7-8 km away.
Departure and arrival station
Buses depart from Nha Trang’s Phia Nam Bus Station, located 7 km west of the main beach. They park around Phu Tai Park, some 8 km west of Quy Nhon city centre.

Nha Trang to Quy Nhon by Shared Minivan
A minivan ride from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon costs around €15.20. The minivan journey takes about 4 hours, depending on traffic.

Bus from Quy Nhon to Ga Dieu Tri is T12 not T22. The fare one way is 8,000 Dong. The bus drops you off 200 meters from the station. You have to walk across the main road into a side road and then the station comes in sight after 200 meters. Map.me is an excellent app to have, works offline.
