Train or Bus from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon?


How to get from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon?

When traveling by train from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon, you have to take the train to Dieu Tri railway station. From Dieu Tri, you can take the public bus which takes about half an hour to Quy Nhon city center.

The bus is also a quick option to get from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon, but keep in mind that the train is safer and offers more comfort. Also does the bus not leave from the center of Nha Trang.

There is also an airport (Phu Cat) about 1-hour drive from Quy Nhon. However, there are no direct flights from this airport to Nha Trang.

Train from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon

Duration: 4 hours
Costs: 143.000 VND (€5,50)

We recommend traveling from Nha Trang to Dieu Tri railway station. From Dieu Tri, you can take a local bus or taxi to Quy Nhon center. There is also a railway station in Quy Nhon center. But, we do not recommend this option since the only train from Nha Trang to this station departs at 4:00 in the morning.

Step 1: Train from Nha Trang to Dieu Tri

Duration: 4 hours
Costs: 133.000 VND (€5)

We recommend booking SE8 so you still have a chance to catch a public bus to the center of Quy Nhon.

Soft seats cost 133.000 VND (€5) and if you want to relax a bit more, consider to book a sleeper berth for a few euros more. Sleeper berths cost around 192.000 VND (€7,50).

Step 2: Bus/Taxi from Dieu Tri Railway Station to Quy Nhon

Duration: 30min
Costs: 10.000 VND (€0,40)

Dieu Tri railway station is about a 20-min taxi ride from Quy Nhon Expect to pay about 100.000 VND (€4) for a taxi.

Another option is to take the local bus T22. This bus brings you for less than 1 euro to Quy Nhon and you find this bus when you walk out of Dieu Tri railway station. The ride takes about half an hour and the bus drops you at the CoopMart in the center of Quy Nhon.

Bus from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon

Duration: 3,5 hours
Costs: 120.000 VND (€4,50)

The bus of Phuc Thuan Thao leaves one time a day from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon. However, take in mind that the departure point is at the company’s own bus station South of Nha Trang. It takes about a 20min drive from the center of Nha Trang to get here. Adding the extra costs for the taxi will make this option more expensive than taking the train.

Another company operating on this route is Lien Hung, but this bus arrives in the middle of the night in Quy Nhon.
