Battambang to Phnom Penh by Bus
We suggest booking with one of the three well-known bus operators for this route – Cambodia Post VIP Van, Bayon VIP or Mekong Express.
Tickets with Mekong Express are slightly more expensive, but it is the most trusted and secure transport operator in Cambodia and is known for their good service.
Roads are paved and in a generally good condition, but accidents still happen from time to time. The table below shows our recommended bus companies and their respective schedules. However, there are other companies you can also book with. Fares start at $8.

Battambang to Phnom Penh by Taxi
You can arrange a taxi at your hotel or book online. Taxis seat up to 4 passengers but may have limited trunk space for your luggage.
Negotiate and agree on a price beforehand to avoid ugly surprises. With good haggling skills, you can get a taxi from $60.

If these rates are too expensive for you, you can also opt for rideshare. You can find one just along Boeung Chhouk Market on National Road 5. Ride-sharing costs $10 per seat. Bear in mind that you may have to wait until all seats are filled.
