Trains in Cambodia don’t run very often, so carefully check if the schedule matches your plans. Trains for this route only operate on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Train schedule from Kampot to Phnom Penh
A train ticket costs $7 per person, one-way. You can also transport your car, motorbike or bicycle for $14, $5 and $2 respectively. You can buy these additional freight tickets at the train station.
Trains depart from Kampot Train Station, just a little north from the city centre. A tuk-tuk can bring you there in about 5 minutes.
The railway station in Phnom Penh is located downtown and also takes about 5-10 minutes to the city centre.
The train makes only one 10-minute stop at Takeo on the way to Phnom Penh. The train route is as follows:
