How To Get From Camiguin to Cebu?

Called the Queen City of the South, Cebu is home to pristine beaches and the popular Kawasan Falls. The more adventurous type will love the chance to go canyoneering and island hopping. Whatever your holiday plans are, Cebu is definitely worth a spot in your itinerary.

You have 2 options when travelling the 240km distance from Camiguin to Cebu. You can take a flight for 1 hour or you can travel via ferry for 8 hours (excluding transfers). Fares start at 950 PHP ($19).

The flight is the only direct option to reach Cebu from Camiguin. It is also the fastest at just 1 hour. You can get a ticket for as low as 950 PHP ($19) when you book your tickets early.

The ferry is a scenic journey, and a good choice if you want to check out Bohol. Also, they provide a good alternative when airfares are too expensive. The only downside is, this combined ferry and bus journey takes at least 8 hours. Total costs start at 1,310 PHP ($26).

Camiguin to Cebu by Flight

Duration: 1 hour
Costs: 950 PHP ($19)

As much as we want to protect the environment by flying less, the flight really is the most convenient option for this route. If you book early, you can get tickets for as low as 950 PHP ($19). Note though that this can easily double during peak season.

CebGo and Philippine Airlines (PAL) each offer 1 trip daily. CebGo flights depart at 13:00, and PAL flights depart at 11:55. The journey from Camiguin Airport to Mactan-Cebu International Airport takes less than 1 hour.

Camiguin to Cebu by Ferry

Duration: 8 hours
Costs: 1,310 PHP ($26)

A ferry from Camiguin to Cebu takes a while, but it gives you the chance to explore the island of Bohol. Also, it’s a great alternative during peak season, when airfares are too expensive.

Step 1: Camiguin to Bohol (Jagna Port) by Ferry

Duration: 4 hours
Costs: 430 PHP ($8.50)

The ferry operated by Super Shuttle Ferry departs Balbagon Ferry Terminal at 8:00 daily. Make sure you plan your travel accordingly. The fare is 430 PHP ($8.50), and the trip takes about 4 hours. The ferry docks at Jagna Port on the island of Bohol.

Step 2: Bohol (Jagna Port) to Tagbilaran by Bus

Duration: 2 hours
Costs: 100 PHP ($2) + 50 PHP ($1)

Once in Jagna Port, head to the main highway to wait for a bus. You may also ask the locals where the bus stop is or where the public vans heading for Tagbilaran are. These normally park at Tagbilaran Integrated Bus Terminal. A ticket should cost a little less than 100 PHP ($2) and the bus journey takes about 2hrs.

From the bus terminal, you can take a jeepney or tricycle to Tagbilaran Port, which is some 4km away. Fares start at 50 PHP ($1).

Step 3: Tagbilaran to Cebu by Ferry

Duration: 2 hours
Costs: 710 PHP ($14) + 20 PHP ($0.40)

From Tagbilaran Port, you can choose from 3 companies that can bring you to Cebu City. All are reputable, so you can just choose whichever fits your schedule and budget.
