Taking the train is generally more comfortable and safer than the bus, but for this route it can only take you up to the stations of Phan Thiet or Binh Thuan — both are 30-40 km away from Mui Ne. From these stations, you can get a bus or taxi to your hotel.

The bus is a good alternative if you want to travel directly between the two cities. Unlike the train, you can get a bus that departs from the centre of Ho Chi Minh and also drops you off close to the centre of Mui Ne.

If you’re travelling in a group and prefer a door-to-door ride, you can also get a private transfer. Fares for a 3-seater car from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne start from 1,810,000 VND ($77).
