Bus from Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh

Although we prefer the comfort of a train seat, traveling by bus is also a good option. The bus departs from the center of Mui Ne and also drops you off in the center of Ho Chi Minh.
Option 1: Train + Bus
Route: Mui Ne Ho Chi Minh
Duration: 4,5 hours
Costs: 180.000 VND (€7)
We recommend to take the train from Phan Thiet, since this railway station is closest to Mui Ne center.
1a Train: Phan Thiet Ho Chi Minh
Duration: 4 hours
Costs: 145.000 VND (€5,50)
There is only one train a day leaving from Phan Thiet to Ho Chi Minh. This train leaves Phan Thiet railway station in the afternoon at 13:05 and arrives in Ho Chi Minh at 17:05.

1b Train: Muong Man Ho Chi Minh

Costs: 127.000 VND (€5)
If the departure time of the option above is not convenient for you or fully booked, you can also take one of the trains from Binh Thuan/Muong Man railway station.
To reach this station you have to take a taxi from Mui Ne which will take about 1 hour and costs at least 500.000 VND (€19).

Bus/Taxi: Ho Chi Minh RailWay Station Ho Chi Minh City Center
Duration: 1 hour
Costs: 35.000 VND (€1,30)
When you take the train from Phan Thiet, you can take a public bus for just 35.000 VND (€1,30) or a taxi for 200.000 VND (€8) from Mui Ne center. This ride takes 45 min to 1 hour.
When you take the train from Muong Man, you only have the option to take a taxi for 500.000 VND (€19).

These bus companies leave from the backpacker street in Ho Chi Minh and also drop you off in the center of Mui Ne.
Futa Bus also has buses leaving every hour but their departure point in Ho Chi Minh, as well as the drop off point in Mui Ne, are not in the center.
