Step 1: Koh Lipe to Hat Yai by Ferry + Minivan
The easiest way to arrange your trip from Koh Lipe to the train station in Hat Yai is to book a combined ticket online.
The 3 transport companies you can choose from are Dee Travels Hat Yai, Satun Pakbara, and Jolly Travel. The combined ferry and minivan option usually depart from Koh Lipe Pattaya Beach or Koh Lipe Sunrise Beach.
After 4h - 4h 40m of travel, you will arrive at Hat Yai Railway Station to continue the next part of your journey.

Step 2: Hat Yai to Bangkok by Train
From the Hat Yai Railway Station, it is best to book a 2nd class sleeper train for a comfortable long journey. The are several trains operating from Hat Yai to Bangkok daily and the journey. The train’s last stop is at Hua Lamphong Railway Station.

Koh Lipe does not have an airport on the island. If you want to take a flight from Koh Lipe to Bangkok, you will first need to get to the nearest airport in Hat Yai.

To get to Hat Yai Airport, you can book a combined ferry and minivan ticket. The ferries depart from Koh Lipe Pier in front of Pattaya Beach.

Step 2: Hat Yai to Bangkok by Flight
Thai VietJet Air, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, and Air Asia offer several flights daily from Hat Yai to Bangkok. Ticket prices start at 480 THB ($14.30) for a one-way ticket and the flight time is just 1.5 hours.
All flights depart from Hat Yai Airport (HDY) and land at either Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Muang Airport (DMK). These airports are about 30 km from central Bangkok and you can ride a bus, taxi, or train to go to the centre.

Koh Lipe to Bangkok by Bus + Minivan
Similar to all the other transport options for the Koh Lipe to Bangkok route, you will first need to cross the ocean to Pakbara Pier.
From the pier, the journey will continue to the bus station in Hat Yai, from where you can transfer to a bus heading to the country’s Capital City.

There are several companies offering combined minivan and ferry tickets for this journey from Koh Lipe to Hat Yai. Be sure you book tickets that directly go to Hat Yai Bus Station for the first part of the trip to avoid extra transfers.
Satun Pakbara Speed Boat departs from Koh Lipe Pattaya Beach while Smart En Plus and Dee Travels Hat Yai depart from Koh Lipe Sunrise Beach. All these buses depart at 09:30 and arrive at Hat Yai Bus Station in 4-6 hours.

Step 2: Hat Yai to Bangkok by Bus
From the Hat Yai Bus Station, there are several companies operating buses from Hat Yai to Bangkok like the Transport Co., Piya Rungrueang, and Siam Dern Rod.
These two terminals are approximately 10 km from the Bangkok centre. The Southern Terminal’s advantage is that it is connected to Bangkok’s metro system. If you will ride a taxi, it will take you about 20-30 minutes to reach the city centre.
