Flights arrive at Cancun International Airport. There are two main areas where most visitors stay in this coastal city: downtown Cancun or the Hotel Zone by the beach.

To get to these areas, you can use the bus, shared minivan or a private shuttle. Travel time is 45m - 1h 5m, depending on where you’re headed and which mode of transport you take.

ADO buses from Cancun Airport are the cheapest option with ticket prices from 130 MXN ($7.30). They depart several times a day from 00:30 to 13:45 (roughly every hour). Buses park at ADO Cancun Bus Station, within walking distance from many hotels in the city centre.

Shared minivans drop you off at your accommodation. They’re more budget-friendly than a taxi since you are sharing the ride with other travellers. Minivans depart every hour, 24 hours a day, from Cancun Airport. You can book a minivan on BookAway, with rates starting at 185 MXN ($10.20).
