Ferry schedules from Koh Rong to Koh Rong Sanloem change frequently. It’s best to visit the office of one of the 5 ferry operators at Serendipity Beach Pier in Sihanoukville in advance. If you’re already in Koh Rong, you can inform one of the offices at Koh Toch.
Ferry operators include Buva Sea, GTVC Speedboat, Cambodia Speed Ferry, Island Speed Ferry Cambodia and Angkor Speed Ferry & Cruise.
An alternative is to ask your hotel to arrange your trip. Many hotels are in contact with one of the ferry operators and can inform you about the ferry schedule and costs. A one-way ticket usually costs $6 per person.
Alternative: Koh Toch Beach to Koh Rong Sanloem by Long Tail Boats
Another option is to rent a private traditional Khmer fishing boat (also known as long tail boat) to get to your destination in Koh Rong Sanloem.
These private boats are a bit more pricey but if you’re travelling in a group, you can reduce the cost per person by splitting the fare.
See here an indication of the duration and prices of a trip with a long tail boat:
Koh Toch Beach – Saracen Bay
Koh Toch Beach – M’Pay Beach
Koh Toch Beach – Lazy Beach
Travellers should always prioritize safety when travelling. Therefore, we advise you to choose this option only when the weather is good enough to make the journey.
