There are 6 ways to travel the 120 kilometre (75 miles) distance from Dubrovnik to Korcula. You can choose between the bus + ferry, van + ferry*, private transfer*, ferry, car ferry and day trip. The journey takes 1 hour 55 minutes to 11 hours and the quickest way is by ferry. If you're on a budget, the cheapest option is by car ferry with tickets starting at €4 ($4.60).

Dubrovnik to Korcula by Ferry
There are three ferry companies operating on the route from Dubrovnik to Korcula: TP Line, Krilo (Kapetan Luka) and Jadrolinija.
Jadrolinija runs just one morning departure daily. If you want more flexibility, book with Kapetan Luka or TP Line. They offer more sailings throughout the day.
Fares start from €14.20 ($16.30) for the ferry ride that lasts for 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 25 minutes.
Departure and arrival stations
If you’re travelling by ferry from Dubrovnik to Korcula, you’ll first have to get to Dubrovnik Port in Gruz. This pier is located 4 km north of the walled town.
In Korcula, TP Line and Kapetan Luka share a ferry terminal on the northeast coast of the Old Town. Jadrolinija docks near Korcula Harbour on the northwestern tip of Korcula Town.
Ferry schedule from Dubrovnik to Korčula
IMPORTANT NOTE: Jadrolinija is a popular ferry company and often gets fully booked. Buying a ticket online does not guarantee a trip at your preferred time. Jadrolinija operates on a first-come, first-served basis. So even with an online ticket, if the ferry you booked is already full, you may need to queue for hours at the port for a seat.
To avoid long waiting times, especially during the high season (June-August), we suggest booking with TP Line or Kapetan Luka instead.
Dubrovnik to Korcula by Bus + Ferry
The bus is a good option to get from Dubrovnik to Korcula, especially if you’re travelling outside the tourist season (June to September).
Arriva is the only bus company covering this route with one daily departure. A ticket costs €15.30 ($17.60), and the journey takes 3 hours 25 minutes.
The bus journey includes a scenic ride along the Peljesac Peninsula, bringing you to the coastal town of Orebic. From Orebic Port, the bus boards a 15-minute car ferry to the island of Korcula and continues to Korcula Town.

Buses depart from Dubrovnik Bus Station, 4 km north of the Old Town.
You will then be dropped off at Korčula Bus Station, which is within walking distance of Korčula town centre.

Dubrovnik to Korcula by Car Ferry
If you’re travelling with a car from Dubrovnik to Korcula, then your only choice is to drive to Orebic in Dubrovnik. From here, car ferries bound for Korčula Island depart several times daily.
Step 1: Dubrovnik to Orebic by Car
The distance from Dubrovnik to Orebic is 118 km. From Dubrovnik, you can reach Port Orebic by driving around 2 hours northwest through D8 and D414 highway.
As you’ll be taking a mostly coastal route, it should be a very picturesque journey!
Step 2: Orebic to Domince by Car Ferry
Car ferries operate on the Orebic to Domince route the entire year, with at least 20 trips daily.
Since the two ports are close to each other, ferries sail almost hourly from 04:00 to 22:15. There is also a late-night trip at 00:30. Travel time takes just around 15 minutes.
A ticket costs €4 ($4.60) per person. For cars less than 5 metres long, rates start from €15.50 ($17.80).
Departure times can change without notice, so it’s best to check the Jadrolinija website before your trip to get the latest schedule.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Online booking for Jadrolinija isn’t always available. You can check the Jadrolinija website or Direct Ferries to see if tickets can be booked in advance. But be aware — Jadrolinija runs on a first-come, first-served basis. Even with an online ticket, if the ferry’s full, you might still have to queue for hours at the port.
Step 3: Domince to Korčula by Car
The car ferries dock at Korcula Car Ferry Terminal in Domince. This terminal is just 4 km away from Korčula Town. The drive to the Old Town shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes unless traffic is very heavy.
Dubrovnik to Korcula by Day Trip
If you’re tight on time but don’t want to miss out on visiting Korčula, consider joining a day trip. The organised tour lasts around 11 hours and includes transportation with pickup and drop-off in Dubrovnik.
Your trip begins with a scenic stop at the Dubrovnik Bridge before continuing along the Adriatic Coast to Ston, known for its ancient salt flats and city walls.
You’ll then head to Orebić to board a boat to Korčula, where you can explore landmarks like Marco Polo’s birth house. The final stop is Potomje for a wine tasting at a renowned Croatian winery.
Rates for a joiner day trip in Korčula start from €69 ($79) per person.
Looking for a private experience? You can book a 12-hour private day trip from Dubrovnik to Korčula via GetYourGuide. Rates start at €390 ($445) per person for a group of two, but the price per person drops significantly if you’re travelling with a group of up to 8 people.
Dubrovnik to Korcula by Van + Ferry*
Are you coming from Dubrovnik Airport? Consider taking a combined shuttle and ferry for €51 ($59). Travel time is around 2 hours 50 minutes.
The great thing about this is that you won’t need to figure out how to get to Dubrovnik Bus Terminal or the ferry pier — both are about 25 km from the airport. The shuttle company handles everything for you.
Here’s how it works: a minivan picks you up directly from the airport, drives you up the coast to Orebić Port, then boards a car ferry to Domince Ferry Terminal on Korčula Island. Once you’re across, the same van takes you straight to your hotel.
Van + Ferry* options from Dubrovnik to Korcula
Important update: The last time we checked (July 2025), the minivan + ferry option between Dubrovnik Airport and Korcula was unavailable. We suggest taking the bus to Korcula instead.
Dubrovnik to Korcula by Private Transfer*

Important: Tourism in Croatia is very seasonal. Much of the available accommodation in Croatia is fully booked in the summer, but many sites are closed in the winter months. With July and August being the peak season, rates can rise 3 times as high as compared the low season or shoulder months. We recommend booking your accommodation at least 1 month in advance to lock in better rates.
