There are 3 ways to travel the 130 kilometre (81 miles) distance from Korcula to Split. You can choose between the bus + ferry, ferry and car ferry. The journey takes 2 hours 20 minutes to 4 hours 20 minutes and the quickest way is by ferry. If you're on a budget, the cheapest option is by ferry with tickets starting at €12.60 ($14.50).

Korcula to Split by Ferry
Travelling by ferry is a quick way to get from Korcula to Split. The three ferry companies operating on this route are Krilo (Kapetan Luka), TP Line and Jadrolinija.
Krilo (Kapetan Luka) operates from May to December, while Jadrolinija and TP Line operate from June to September.
Ticket prices start from €12.60 ($14.50). Travel time is 2 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours 25 minutes, depending on the ferry you book.
Departure and arrival ports
You can find the ferries at Korčula Harbour, 500m south of Korčula’s Old Town.
Ferries dock at Split Ferry Port. This port is within walking distance from the town centre, where you can find most hotels, restaurants and cafes.
NOTE: In case of bad weather, ferries may not be allowed to sail. Fortunately, when this happens, a car ferry departing from Vela Luka, a town on Korčula’s west coast, is usually still operating.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Jadrolinija is a popular ferry company and often gets fully booked. Buying a ticket online does not guarantee a trip at your preferred time. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis. So even with an online ticket, if the ferry you booked is already full, you may need to queue for hours at the port for a seat.
To avoid long waiting times, especially during the high season (June-August), we suggest booking with Krilo Kapetan Luka or TP Line via BookAway instead.

Korcula to Split by Car Ferry
Travelling by car? No car ferries operate from the main town of Korčula.
Instead, you can find them departing from the other side of the island in Vela Luka, 42 km west of Korčula Town.
This is also an alternative option when tickets from Korčula Town to Split are fully booked or if you’re travelling outside the peak season (June to October). The car ferry from Vela Luka to Split is available all year round.
Step 1: Korčula to Vela Luka by Car or Bus
From Korčula town centre, drive westbound along the D118 road to get to Vela Luka. The drive should take around 40 minutes.
If you’re a foot passenger, the bus is your best option. You can catch a bus at Korčula Bus Station, a 5-minute walk from the town centre.
The bus journey to Vela Luka takes 1h 5m - 1h 10m. Tickets cost €6 ($6.90).

The bus will drop you off at Vela Luka Bus Station. From here, you can take a short taxi ride to the Vela Luka Ferry Terminal for about €10 ($11.50).
Step 2: Vela Luka to Split by Ferry
Jadrolinija operates two car ferry trips daily from Vela Luka to Split from March to December. There is also one catamaran trip for foot passengers. Make sure to book a car ferry if you’re travelling by car.
A ticket costs €10.80 ($12.50) per person, while car rates start from €74 ($85) for cars that are less than 5m long.
Travel time depends on which ferry you take, but it can range from 2h 10m - 3h 10m.
Jadrolinija ferries arrive at Split Ferry Port, which is just within walking distance from the city centre.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Online booking for Jadrolinija isn’t always available. You can check the Jadrolinija website or Direct Ferries to see if tickets can be booked in advance. But be aware — Jadrolinija runs on a first-come, first-served basis. Even with an online ticket, if the ferry’s full, you might still have to queue for hours at the port.
If you’re a foot passenger looking for a private transfer from Vela Luka to Split or Split Airport, Absolut Charter offers private speedboats that can accommodate up to 8 people. It’s a pricey option though, with rates starting from €1,530 ($1,760) on BookAway.
Korcula to Split by Bus + Ferry
If you prefer to travel at night, you can take a combined bus and ferry from Korcula to Split.
A bus ticket costs €26.50 ($30), and the trip takes 3 hours 30 minutes.
Autotrans by Arriva operates the lone bus for this route.
Departure and arrival stations
The bus departs from Korčula Bus Station and boards a 20-minute car ferry from Domince Ferry Terminal to Orebic Port. From here, the bus ride continues through Pelješac Peninsula and across Pelješac Bridge. The last stop is at Split Bus Station.
Both bus terminals are located within the city centre, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding your way to and from your hotels.
