How to get from Naples to Positano

One of Italy’s most scenic beach towns, Positano is home to some of the most dreamy seaside views on the Amalfi Coast. On its cliff sits the church of Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta and its majolica-tiled dome, famous for its Byzantine Black Madonna and Child from the 13th century. This overlooks Spiaggia Grande, Positano’s main beach and food strip.

Despite there being a number of transport options, it can be challenging to reach Positano if you’re coming from one of its busier neighbours, such as Naples in the northwest. While both destinations are coastal towns, there is no direct ferry service from Naples to Positano.
