Camiguin is among the Philippines’ smallest islands, and also one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mindanao region. This unspoiled paradise boasts a serene vibe, gorgeous beaches, hot and cold springs, and stunning waterfalls.
Also called the “Island Born of Fire,” Camiguin has the most number of volcanoes per square kilometre in the world. What’s more interesting is that even now, volcanic activity continues to reshape the island of Camiguin.

Bohol to Camiguin by Ferry
There’s no direct route from Bohol’s main tourist areas — Panglao or Tagbilaran — to Camiguin.
To make this journey, you first need to travel to Jagna Port, located on the southeastern coast of Bohol. This is the only port on the island with ferries bound for Camiguin.
Step 1: Tagbilaran City to Jagna Port
Jagna Port is about 65 km east of Tagbilaran City. The cheapest and easiest way to get there is by bus.
Head to Dao Bus Terminal in Tagbilaran City centre and hop on a bus bound for Jagna. Fares start at 150 PHP ($2.50) and the journey takes about 2 hours. Expect the bus to make a lot of stops to pick up and drop off passengers along the way. Buses are available from 3:20 to 17:40.
A faster and more convenient option would be to take a taxi from your hotel to Jagna Port. Depending on your location, taxi rates range from 3,000 PHP ($50) to 3,500 PHP ($58). Travel time with a taxi is around 1.5 hours
Step 2: Jagna Port to Camiguin
